A great celebration!

The Tour de Pologne is not only the biggest biking race in Poland... It is also an enormous public celebration, almost a festival, in the biggest medieval square of the entire Europe!
W upalną letnią niedzielę, 9 sierpnia miłośnicy wyścigów kolarskich z Polski i innych części świata wypełnili szczelnie Rynek Główny w Krakowie.

In that sunny Saturday, August 9th, people from all Poland and even further fulled Krakow's main square. And among the many stands of the event's different partners and sponsors, the Camper Małopolski was there, of course! Welcoming people who want more information about the region, giving them fliers and candies - without forgetting the traditional typical red necklesses - our team was part of the celebrations. A particularity for that special day: our camper's place included a miniputt field! This little field belonged to the Mołopolska administration's stand just next to ours, but we all work for the same region, after all... So we had much fun with it!

Looking by the window from inside the camper, we could see kids taking the public fountain as  a swimming pool, happy to be in the water by that hot weather. In our neighbours' stand, people of all ages also liked to sit at the tables, speaking or drawing, and play babyfoot. Everywhere, in the crowd, rose hats could be seen, rose, green and blue inflatable sticks and other accessories were moved with energy and joy to make some noise for the racers... After being in that great atmosphere, we may say the 71st Tour de Pologne was a success!

When all that happy crowd gathered around the race track and in front of the big screens in a amazing enthousiasm, we knew it was the final of the race. And what a joy in the applauds and screemings when was annonced that the Tour de Pologne 2014's winner was Rafał Majka... not only a Pole, but a man from Małopolska!
